- Number of stations: count every fixed point that needs a unit. Room-to-room models are sold per unit, so order at least two.
- Extension capacity: host-and-extension models like the CI11 support up to 999 units for bigger offices or buildings.

How many units do I need for a room-to-room intercom?
At least two. The CI02 and CI05 are sold per unit, and one unit cannot be used alone. Order two or more of the same model and set them to the same digital code and channel.
Does a wireless intercom need WiFi or a phone line?
No. Daytech radio intercoms like the CI05, CI10 and CI11 talk to each other directly, with no WiFi, phone line, SIM card or monthly fee. That also keeps them working when the internet is down.
What is the best intercom for an office or warehouse?
The Daytech CI11 suits offices, guard posts and warehouses. It supports up to 999 units, reaches about 1,000 m in open space or up to 20 floors, and runs on replaceable 18650 batteries for about 2 to 4 months.
How does a window counter intercom work?
A gooseneck microphone and main unit sit on the staff side, and a small speaker mounts on the customer side of the glass. It switches voice automatically, so both people talk without pressing a button or opening the window.
What does full duplex mean on an intercom?
Both people can talk and listen at the same time, like a phone call, without pressing a talk button. The Daytech HI05 door intercom and the CI10 office intercom are full duplex; walkie-talkie style units are push-to-talk.
