Wanbo is a Chinese projector brand founded in 2016 by Shenzhen Wanbo Technology Co., Ltd. It builds compact smart projectors for the home, and competes on brightness and features for the price rather than on premium positioning.
The range runs from pocket-sized models for small rooms through to 4K home cinema units. ANSI lumens is a standardised measurement and the only figure worth comparing between brands. Lux and LED lumens are not standardised and depend on measuring distance, which is why some projectors advertise numbers like 9000 lux that sound far brighter than they are. Wanbo publishes ANSI ratings.
Can I use a Wanbo projector during the day?
Only the brighter models, and only with curtains drawn. Below roughly 300 ANSI lumens a projector struggles even in a dim room. The Mozart 1 Pro at 1200 ANSI handles some ambient light; entry models need a properly darkened room.
