Wanbo Collection

Wanbo Collection

Wanbo is a Chinese projector brand founded in 2016 by Shenzhen Wanbo Technology Co., Ltd. It builds compact smart projectors for the home, and competes on brightness and features for the price rather than on premium positioning.

The range runs from pocket-sized models for small rooms through to 4K home cinema units. Most run Android TV or Google TV built in, so Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video work without a separate streaming stick, and newer models add automatic focus and keystone correction that square up the image without manual adjustment.

What Wanbo is good at

  • Brightness for the money — higher ANSI ratings than similarly priced projectors
  • Smart TV built in — streaming apps run on the projector itself
  • Set-up speed — auto focus and auto keystone on current models
  • Compact form factors — suited to condos, bedrooms and shared spaces where a permanent install isn't practical

Worth knowing before you buy

Projector brightness is measured in ANSI lumens, and it decides whether you need a dark room. Entry models are best with the curtains drawn; brighter units cope with some ambient light. If you plan to watch during the day, brightness matters more than resolution.

All Wanbo projectors sold here are covered by a 1-year warranty and ship nationwide across the Philippines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Wanbo a good projector brand?

Wanbo is a Xiaomi ecosystem brand and sits in the affordable tier. Independent reviewers find it matches rivals on hardware at lower prices, though software polish trails premium brands. What Hi-Fi rated the Vali 1 four stars and called it one of the biggest surprises of the year at its price.

How does Wanbo compare to Anker Nebula or Xgimi?

Wanbo generally offers similar specs for less money. On brightness it often leads outright: the Vali 1 claims 900 ANSI lumens where the Anker Nebula Mars 3 Air offers 400 and the Capsule 3 offers 200. The trade-off is fewer support resources and less refined software.

Which Wanbo projector should I buy?

For a living room where you cannot fully darken the space, the Mozart 1 Pro at 1200 ANSI lumens. For flexible angles or ceiling projection, the Vali 1 with its 200-degree gimbal. For a bedroom or condo, the Cube 2 Pro. See the buying guide above for the full comparison.

What is the difference between ANSI lumens and lux?

ANSI lumens is a standardised measurement and the only figure worth comparing between brands. Lux and LED lumens are not standardised and depend on measuring distance, which is why some projectors advertise numbers like 9000 lux that sound far brighter than they are. Wanbo publishes ANSI ratings.

Can I use a Wanbo projector during the day?

Only the brighter models, and only with curtains drawn. Below roughly 300 ANSI lumens a projector struggles even in a dim room. The Mozart 1 Pro at 1200 ANSI handles some ambient light; entry models need a properly darkened room.

Do I need a streaming stick with a Wanbo projector?

Not on models with Google TV or Android TV built in, which run Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video directly. Check the individual product page, since app licensing varies between models and some older Android units handle Netflix differently.

Is there warranty support in the Philippines?

Yes. Wanbo projectors bought from VMIDirect carry a 1-year warranty handled locally, so you do not need to ship a unit overseas for a claim. All models ship nationwide.
