What to check before you buy
- Capacity (mAh): Some energy is lost as heat when charging, so you never get the full headline mAh into your phone. As a rough guide, 5,000mAh gives most of one charge for a typical phone, 10,000mAh about one and a half to two, and 20,000mAh about three to four.
- Output ports: Dual USB lets you charge two devices at once, useful for households sharing one power bank.
- Charging speed: Standard 5V/2.1A outputs charge at about 10W. For fast charging, look for 18W or 20W USB-C Power Delivery.
Flying with a power bank?
CAAP limits airline carry to 100Wh without approval, 100 to 160Wh with airline sign-off, and bans anything over 160Wh outright, always in hand-carry, never checked baggage.
