HPRT designs and manufactures POS printers, mobile printers, label printers and photo printers. In this range the focus is photo printing — pocket printers that produce physical prints from a phone, and an instant print camera that shoots and prints in one device.
Two printing technologies, two different results
- Dye-sublimation (CP2100) — heat transfers dye from a ribbon onto photo paper in layers, then seals it. The result is a proper photograph: smooth gradients, accurate skin tones, and a finish that resists water and fingerprints.
- ZINK zero-ink (MT-53, Z5, Z5s) — the colour is already in the paper and heat activates it. No ribbon to replace, prints come out as peel-and-stick labels, and the whole device is smaller. Quality is good rather than photographic.

Worth knowing before you buy
Factor in the paper. Pocket photo printers are inexpensive; the consumables are the ongoing cost. Work out the cost per print before buying, and keep a spare pack — running out mid-event is the usual complaint.

What is the difference between ZINK and dye-sublimation?
ZINK paper has the colour already embedded and heat activates it, so there is no ribbon and prints come out as peel-and-stick stickers. Dye-sublimation transfers dye from a ribbon onto paper in layers and seals it, giving smoother gradients and better skin tones. Dye-sub looks like a photograph; ZINK looks like a good sticker.
Which HPRT should I buy?
The CP2100 if print quality matters most and you want framed-photo results. The MT-53 if you want stickers for journals and scrapbooks in the smallest possible device. The Z5 or Z5s if you want a standalone camera that prints, with no phone needed — popular as a gift.
How much does each print cost?
The printer is the cheap part; the paper is the ongoing cost. Work out the per-print price from a paper pack before buying, and keep a spare pack on hand. Running out mid-event is the most common complaint with pocket photo printers.
Do ZINK prints last?
ZINK prints are smudge-resistant and water-resistant once printed, and hold up well in an album or journal. Like any print, direct sunlight over long periods will fade them, so display copies rather than originals if a print matters.
Can I use any 2x3 paper?
No. ZINK devices need ZINK-branded paper because the colour chemistry is in the sheet itself, and the CP2100 needs its matching paper and ribbon cartridge together. Third-party paper generally will not feed or will not print correctly.
Is there warranty support in the Philippines?
Yes. HPRT printers and cameras bought from VMIDirect carry a 1-year warranty handled locally, with nationwide shipping. Photo paper and ribbon cartridges are consumables and are not covered.
