HPRT

HPRT designs and manufactures POS printers, mobile printers, label printers and photo printers. In this range the focus is photo printing — pocket printers that produce physical prints from a phone, and an instant print camera that shoots and prints in one device.

Two printing technologies, two different results

• Dye-sublimation (CP2100) — heat transfers dye from a ribbon onto photo paper in layers, then seals it. The result is a proper photograph: smooth gradients, accurate skin tones, and a finish that resists water and fingerprints.
• ZINK zero-ink (MT-53, Z5, Z5s) — the colour is already in the paper and heat activates it. No ribbon to replace, prints come out as peel-and-stick labels, and the whole device is smaller. Quality is good rather than photographic.

Worth knowing before you buy

Factor in the paper. Pocket photo printers are inexpensive; the consumables are the ongoing cost. Work out the cost per print before buying, and keep a spare pack — running out mid-event is the usual complaint.

Printers and cameras carry a 1-year warranty. Photo paper and ribbon cartridges are consumables and are not covered. All ship nationwide across the Philippines.
