What to check before you buy
- Weight and registration: CAAP requires registration for drones used commercially at any weight, and for non-commercial drones of 7 kg and above. Light drones under 249 g are also easier to travel with, since many countries use 250 g as a cut-off.
- Camera resolution and stabilization: Higher resolution matters for serious photo and video work; built-in stabilization keeps footage smooth in wind.
- Flight time: Battery life varies significantly by model, factor in charging downtime if you're planning an extended shoot.
