Should I get a RIVER or a DELTA?
RIVER models are compact and sized for phones, routers, lights and laptops through a short outage. DELTA models carry the output needed for refrigerators, rice cookers, power tools and whole-home backup. If you want to keep a fridge running, you need a DELTA.
Will it keep my computer running through a brownout?
Yes. DELTA models switch over in around 15 milliseconds, fast enough that a desktop, router and monitor stay on without rebooting. Plug the equipment into the station and leave the station plugged into the wall.
Can an EcoFlow run an air conditioner?
Generally no. Window and split-type aircons draw 800 to 1500W or more continuously and surge higher on start-up. Even where a large DELTA can start one, runtime is short. Power stations are better used for fans, lights, routers and computers during an outage.
How fast does it recharge?
Fast recharging is one of EcoFlow's strengths. The DELTA 3 refills in roughly 56 minutes from a wall socket and the DELTA 3 2000 Air in about 2 hours. That matters during rolling brownouts, when the window between outages may be short.
Is it safe to use indoors?
Yes. There is no engine and no fuel, so no carbon monoxide and no exhaust. This is the fundamental difference from a petrol generator, which must never be run inside a house or an enclosed space.
