An airtight food container has a silicone gasket or seal in the lid that presses against the rim when closed, blocking air and moisture. If a lid loses its seal or the gasket is missing, the container is no longer airtight, so check the gasket each time you wash it.

Are airtight containers good for milk powder and baby formula?

Yes, an airtight container helps keep milk powder dry and free of clumps in humid weather. Our Ankou milk powder containers include a scoop and a holder, so the scoop stays out of the powder between uses.

What else can I store in an airtight container?
