EBL makes rechargeable batteries and chargers — AA, AAA, 9V, C-size, lithium-ion cells and the multi-bay chargers that keep them topped up. The appeal is straightforward: a rechargeable cell replaces dozens of disposables over its life.

What EBL is good for

• High-drain devices — camera flashes, wireless mics, game controllers and toys that eat alkalines
• Brownout kits — keeping flashlights, fans and radios supplied without buying disposables
• Multi-bay charging — chargers from 4 to 12 bays with LCD status per cell

Worth knowing before you buy: 1.2V or 1.5V

This is the thing most people get wrong. NiMH rechargeable AA cells are 1.2V, while disposable alkalines are 1.5V. Most devices work fine on 1.2V, but some — particularly ones with a battery-level indicator — will read the lower voltage as nearly flat, or will not run at all.

EBL sells both. If a device has refused rechargeables before, choose a 1.5V lithium rechargeable such as the TB-1443, which holds 1.5V until it is nearly empty. For everything else, 1.2V NiMH costs less and lasts more cycles.

Match the charger to the battery

NiMH and lithium cells charge differently and are not interchangeable in a charger. A NiMH charger will not correctly charge a 1.5V lithium cell. Check that the charger lists your battery chemistry before buying, and keep them paired.

Chargers carry a 1-year warranty. Batteries are consumables and are not covered. All ship nationwide across the Philippines.
