Fujifilm is a Japanese imaging company founded in 1934. It began in photographic film and still makes it — which is why it is the only major brand keeping instant photography alive through the Instax line, alongside 35mm colour negative film.

The range here covers Instax film in all three formats, instant cameras, and the accessories that go with them.

Instax film comes in three formats — and they are not interchangeable

• Instax Mini — credit-card sized, 54 x 86mm. The most common format, used by Mini 11, 12, 40, Evo and LiPlay.
• Instax Square — 62 x 62mm square image, for Square-series cameras.
• Instax Wide — double the width of Mini, for the Wide 300, 210 and 200.

Buying the wrong format is the single most common Instax mistake. Check which camera you own before ordering film — a Wide pack will not load into a Mini camera.

Worth knowing before you buy

Film is the ongoing cost. The camera is bought once; film is bought forever. Work out the cost per shot before choosing a format, since Wide costs more per frame than Mini.

Store film somewhere cool. Heat and humidity degrade instant film, shifting colours and reducing contrast. In Philippine conditions, keep unopened packs away from direct sun and out of a hot car, and use them before the expiry date rather than stockpiling.
