Frequently asked questions
Does this work in an Instax camera?
No. This is 35mm colour negative film for traditional film cameras and needs C41 lab development. Instax film is self-developing and only works in Instax cameras. They are entirely different products despite both being Fujifilm.
What does ISO 400 mean for how I shoot?
It is a mid-range sensitivity, versatile for both indoor and outdoor daylight shooting without needing to swap film. Lower ISO film suits bright sun with finer grain; higher ISO suits low light with more visible grain. 400 is the general-purpose choice.
Where do I get it developed?
Any lab offering C41 processing, which is the standard colour negative process used by most photo labs. Confirm a local lab still offers it before buying if you are unsure.
How many photos does one roll give?
36 exposures per roll, the standard length for 35mm colour negative film.
How should I store unused rolls?
Somewhere cool and away from direct heat or sunlight. Unlike Instax, unexposed 35mm film is less affected by humidity, but heat still degrades it over time, so avoid a hot car or direct sun.
