RETURN AND REPLACEMENT POLICY
This policy is valid for the Philippines only.
At VMi Direct, we are committed to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service in accordance with the consumer protection standards set by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Consumer Act of the Philippines (R.A. 7394).
✅ 1. 7-Day Replacement for Defective Products
If your purchased item has a manufacturing defect, you may return it for a replacement or exchange within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase.
This policy applies only to products that are found to be defective upon arrival or develop a verified manufacturing defect within the first 7 days of use.
⚠️ This policy does not cover “change of mind” returns, accidental damage, misuse, or normal wear and tear.
📄 2. Proof of Purchase Required
To qualify for a replacement, you must provide a valid proof of purchase, such as:
- Official receipt
- Sales invoice
- Order confirmation email
- Transaction record from our website
Without proof of purchase, we may not be able to process your replacement request.
📦 3. Condition of the Product
The item must be returned in original condition, which includes:
- Complete with original packaging and labels
- All accessories, manuals, cables, and freebies included
- No signs of physical damage, tampering, or improper use
- In a resalable (marketable) condition
Products that are damaged due to mishandling, modification, or incorrect installation will not be eligible for replacement.
❌ 4. Non-Covered Cases ("Change of Mind")
We do not accept returns or exchanges for:
- Change of mind
- Wrong color, size, or model selected
- Buyer’s remorse
- Products that are not defective
- Customer Misuse
- Improper Handling of the Customer
- Water Damages to Electronic Products

🛠️ 5. Warranty & Service Center Guidelines
Some products (e.g., electronics, appliances, mobile devices) may come with a manufacturer’s warranty card that includes specific service terms.
In such cases:
- You may be directed to an authorized service center for inspection, repair, or replacement.
- The service center’s assessment will determine whether the issue is covered under warranty.
- VMi Direct will assist in coordinating the process and provide necessary documentation.
Please retain your warranty card and register your product (if required) as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

While our policy follows DTI guidelines, VMi Direct reserves the right to:
- Approve or decline replacement requests based on verification
- Offer store credit or alternative solutions in special circumstances
- Update this policy with prior notice, in compliance with Philippine consumer laws
Any exceptions are at the sole discretion of VMi Direct and are not guaranteed.

Production Introduction:
The DAYTECH SM20 Smoke Alarm Sensor is a crucial safety device for your home or office, designed to quickly detect smoke and alert you to potential fire hazards.
Wireless smoke detector alarm (‘alarm’ in short) is a household photoelectric smoke-detecting fire alarm, with the capability to detect smoke from the subtle beginning of fire event, make sound and light alarm in real time and send wireless alarm signal.
2.Working Status
● Normal: LED light blinks one time per 60s,no Alarm sound
● Testing:LED light blinks continuously, Quick beep sound
● Sound off alarm mode: LED light blinks continuously,no Alarm sound
● Low voltage:LED light blinks one time per 60s,Beep once per 60S
3.Mute and Testing:
● Mute:In smoke alarm status,press the button “Test” to mute the alarm with LED light blinking alone.
● Testing:In normal status, press the button ‘Test’so that the sound and light alarm goes off, and sends wireless alarm signal.
4.Notice:
● a.Indoor use and installation only;
● b.The detector should be within a distance of 50+cm away from lighting appliances.
● c.No installation in bathroom, water susceptible or water dripping places.
● d.No installation in non-hazardous smoke or steam breeding places.
● e.No installation in places with the temperature below 0℃ or above 50℃.
● F. If the cabinet is close to the ceiling, the detector should be 60+cm away from it.
● g.Keep the detector 150+cm away from ventilation fan, air conditioner and vents.
● h.Keep the surface of the detector sleek, flat and clean to fit on the double-sided adhesive when you choose adhesive installation.
● i.Keep routine checks of the detector to make sure the adhesive works well as a precaution of drops, when you choose adhesive installation.
● j.The detector cannot be mounted onto the installation plate without battery.
5.Maintenance:
● Check the detector weekly by pressing the ‘TEST’key once the detector is installed and put in use; Do inspection in time or return it for factory repair if any malfunction is checked.
●The battery comes with a lifespan of 1 year under normal circumstance, which could be shortened in tough environments like high temperature and high humidity.
● Make sure the detector works well before installation. Keep it well and take precautions like anti-dust, anti-moist and ant-corrosion before installation.
● Replace the battery with a new one with the same parameters upon the alert of low voltage from the detector.
