Worth knowing before you buy: 1.2V or 1.5V
Ni-MH rechargeable AA cells are 1.2V, while disposable alkalines are 1.5V. Most devices work fine on 1.2V, but some, particularly ones with a battery-level indicator, read the lower voltage as nearly flat or will not run at all. Keep alkaline or a 1.5V lithium rechargeable for those devices.
Match the charger to the battery
Ni-MH and lithium cells charge differently and are not interchangeable in a charger. Use the TB-6030 for 18650 lithium cells and a 9V-capable charger such as the EBL 802 for 9V batteries. Never charge alkaline, CR123A or CR2 cells.

Why are rechargeable AA batteries 1.2V instead of 1.5V?
Ni-MH chemistry gives 1.2V per cell, while alkaline starts at 1.5V. Most devices run fine on 1.2V, but some with a battery-level indicator read it as nearly flat. That is normal for Ni-MH, not a fault.
How many times can EBL batteries be recharged?
EBL rates its 2800mAh AA and 18650 cells for up to 1,200 charges. Real use usually gives fewer, but even a few hundred charges replace hundreds of disposable batteries in toys, mics and flashlights.
Can I charge 18650 or lithium batteries in a Ni-MH charger?
No. Lithium and Ni-MH cells charge differently, and the wrong charger is a safety risk. Use the EBL TB-6030 for 18650 cells. Never charge alkaline or CR123A and CR2 batteries, which are not rechargeable.
Are rechargeable batteries good for brownouts?
Yes, if you keep them charged. Low self-discharge Ni-MH cells hold most of their charge for months. Keep a charged set in your flashlight, top it up every few months, and use a USB charger with a power bank.
