How do I set up the Daytech DB33?
Charge the doorbell fully over USB, install the app, and connect it to your 2.4GHz WiFi before you mount it. Test a call from the exact spot at the gate, then mount it with the included screws or sticker.
The DB33 does not connect to 5GHz WiFi. If your router shows one combined network name, turn on its 2.4GHz band during setup.
Where should I mount the doorbell?
Mount it at about chest height, facing where visitors stand, and under an eave or roof if possible. Night vision works best at about 1 m and reaches up to 3 m, so keep it near the door.

Why is my DB33 not connecting or calling my phone?
The most common cause is weak WiFi at the gate. Check the signal there with your phone, move the router or add a WiFi extender, and make sure the doorbell is on 2.4GHz. Resetting and pairing again fixes most issues.
Brownouts also matter: if the router loses power, the doorbell cannot reach your phone, even though its own battery is fine.
Does the DB33 record video?
It saves snapshots to free rolling cloud storage that keeps 3 days of recordings, viewed in the app. It has no microSD slot. The camera sleeps to save battery and wakes when someone presses the doorbell button.
