The Short Answer
For home karaoke in the Philippines, a dual-mic UHF set is the best value: the XTUGA RG-3 (₱3,899) or AR-7 (₱4,199) lets two people sing at once. Solo singers can start with the ₱1,449 XTUGA U326. Churches and events need a four-mic system from ₱7,299.
Videoke is part of every Filipino birthday, Christmas party and fiesta, and the microphone is the part that breaks first. Cheap mics drop out when someone walks to the kitchen, pick up the neighbor's set, or die halfway through "My Way". This guide explains the wireless types, what each price tier gets you, and which wireless microphone fits your sala, church or event.
UHF, VHF or 2.4GHz: which wireless microphone is best for karaoke?
UHF is the safest choice. It gives longer range, more channels and less interference than VHF. 2.4GHz mics are simple and cheap but share the band with your WiFi router.
- VHF is the older, cheaper band. It has fewer channels and is more prone to noise and interference.
- UHF uses a higher band with more room for separate channels. Every handheld system in our wireless microphone range is UHF, from the U326 to the M-6604S.
- 2.4GHz is the same band as WiFi and Bluetooth. It works for a small room, but in a condo full of routers you are more likely to hear dropouts. The XTUGA WX70 (₱2,039) is a 2.4GHz plug-on adapter that turns a wired XLR mic wireless, with about 50 m of reliable range.
How much is a wireless microphone in the Philippines?

How far does a wireless microphone actually reach?
Less than the box says. Treat the working range as your real limit. The XTUGA AR-7 is rated 20 m for dropout-free use, about 50 m receiving, and 100 m only in open line of sight.
Walls, people, metal roofs and other wireless gear all shorten range. For a sala or a function room, 20 to 30 m is plenty. For a basketball court fiesta or an outdoor wedding, look for true diversity receivers like the XTUGA XM200, which use two antennas to pick the stronger signal. Our XM200 true diversity review explains when that matters.
Will a wireless mic work with my speaker or videoke machine?
Yes, if your speaker, amplifier or videoke machine has a microphone input. XTUGA receivers output through a 6.35mm (1/4-inch) jack, and the U326 includes a 3.5mm adapter for smaller inputs. Four-mic systems also add XLR outputs.
The XTUGA U326 receiver plugs straight into the mic jack with no app or setup, and its plug rotates 180 degrees to fit different speakers. The XTUGA A400 has a mixed 1/4-inch output plus four separate XLR outputs, so each mic can go to its own mixer channel. Want to sing off a projector instead of a videoke box? Rechargeable or AA batteries: which is better in the Philippines?
AA mics are easier to keep running through long parties if you keep spares. The XTUGA A400 runs over 8 hours on 2 AA. Rechargeable mics like the U326 give 3 to 5 hours after a 60-minute charge.
- Remove batteries after the party. AA cells left in a mic for months can leak, and humidity speeds that up.
- Store mics dry. Keep them in their box or case, not on top of the speaker in a hot room.
- Brownouts: the receiver and speaker still need power. A small power station keeps a videoke night going. Our guide to power stations, generators and UPS units covers sizing.
How do you stop interference and feedback?
Switch channels when you hear noise, never point the mic at the speaker, and stand behind or beside the speaker. More UHF frequencies, like the U326's 48, give you more room to dodge interference.
In condos and subdivisions, two families running videoke on the same night can land on the same frequency. Change the channel on the receiver, then re-sync the mic. Systems with infrared matching, like the XM200 and AM-401, sync by holding the mic near the receiver.
Which one should you buy?
- Solo singer, small room, tight budget: XTUGA U326, ₱1,449.
- Family videoke and duets: XTUGA RG-3 or AR-7, ₱3,899 to ₱4,199. Our AR-7 vs RG-3 comparison explains the difference.
- Outdoor events and big halls: XTUGA XM200, ₱6,599.
- Church choir, panels or four hosts: XTUGA A140 at ₱7,299, the XTUGA A400 at ₱7,599, or the M-6604S at ₱12,999 for longer range.
