Frequently asked questions
What is GaN and why does it matter?
Gallium nitride is a semiconductor material that runs cooler and more efficiently than the silicon used in older chargers. That is what allows a 65W charger to be this small. A silicon charger of the same output would be noticeably larger and hotter.
Can it charge a laptop?
Yes, 65W covers most ultrabooks and many mainstream laptops through USB-C. Check your laptop's required wattage first, since larger machines and gaming laptops often need 100W or more and will charge slowly or not at all at 65W.
How many devices at once?
Four ports. Total output is shared across them, so a laptop charging alone gets the full 65W, while adding phones and earbuds divides the available power. That is normal for every multi-port charger.
What does the cat face actually do?
The screen shows different expressions across 4 modes, changing with charging status. It is a design feature rather than a function, though it does give an at-a-glance indication that something is happening.
Will it save space on my desk?
Yes, the vertical design has a small footprint, and one 65W station replaces several separate wall adapters. Fewer bricks in a power strip also means fewer blocked sockets.
Is it safe to leave plugged in?
GaN chargers run cooler than equivalent silicon designs, which helps. As with any charger, use it somewhere with airflow rather than under bedding or behind furniture, and unplug it if it becomes unusually hot.
