Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Standard Combo and the Adventure Combo?

The camera is identical. The Adventure Combo adds a battery case and a selfie stick. If you already own a selfie stick and spare batteries, the Standard Combo saves money; if you are starting from nothing, the Adventure Combo is usually better value than buying those separately.

How deep can the Osmo Action 6 Pro go without a housing?

65.6 feet, which is 20 metres, with a built-in pressure gauge that reads depth while you shoot. That covers snorkelling and recreational diving without a separate case, which is deeper than most action cameras manage on their own.

How good is it in low light?

Strong for an action camera. It pairs a 38MP 1/1.1 inch sensor with up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range and a dedicated SuperNight mode. Sensor size is the main factor in low-light performance, and 1/1.1 inch is large for this category.

Can I use a microphone without a receiver?

Yes, through OsmoAudio, which lets a DJI Mic transmitter connect straight to the camera with no receiver mounted or cable run. It also has three stereo mics built in, so basic audio is usable without any accessory.

What is 360-degree HorizonSteady?

It keeps the frame level even if the camera rotates completely while recording, on top of standard stabilisation. That matters for mounted footage on a bike, helmet or board where the camera tips with you and the horizon would otherwise swing.

Do I need a memory card?

Not necessarily. It has 50GB of built-in storage, so you can shoot without a card. For long sessions at 4K120 you will still want one, since high frame rate footage fills space quickly.
